In 2022, MeLê Yamomo and Verne De la Pena visited various archives in Europe, within the framework of the Sonic Returns agenda. Sonic Returns draws inspiration from the UPCE’s “Recollection” project as a model for repatriating and restituting sound archives in Europe to their source communities in Southeast Asia.
